Poor head growth as a presenting sign of a cortisol-secreting adrenal adenoma in a 2-year-old boy. Typical signs of glucocorticoid excess in children are weight gain and poor linear growth. We describe a 2-year-old boy with a cortisol-secreting adenoma who presented with a dramatic decline in head growth. This case underscores concern of adverse effects of excess glucocorticoid on brain growth in very young children.
