Implementing Patient Safety Initiatives. Implementing change is difficult; few people want to wade into this area because of the challenge. However, it is highly rewarding and does not have to be complicated. Success requires a clear understanding of health care context, patient safety, and behavioral psychology. To achieve its goal, this article is divided into 3 parts: (1) the problem with engagement in health care, (2) patient safety in a new age, and (3) implementation.
