Subcutaneous Basidiobolomycosis Resembling Fournier's Gangrene. Basidiobolomycosis is an uncommon cutaneous zygomycete infection typically seen in immunocompetent individuals. Diagnosis can be made by biopsy and fungal culture of the lesion. Treatment with Potassium iodide and co-trimoxazole is simple and effective. Early and accurate diagnosis of basidiobolomycosis is essential to avoid dissemination and mortality. We present a case with basidiobolomycosis resembling Fournier's gangrene.
