Treatment of Fatigue in Parkinson Disease. CLINICAL QUESTION: Which pharmacological and nonpharmacological interventions are associated with improvement in general, physical, or mental fatigue and minimal adverse effects in patients with Parkinson disease (PD)? BOTTOM LINE: Rasagiline, modafinil, and doxepin are associated with improvement in fatigue and are not associated with increased risk of adverse effects in patients with PD. However, the quality of evidence is limited and does not provide a clear basis for treatment decisions.
