Ischaemic stroke and ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction: fast-track single-stop approach. Current management of patients with AIS relies primarily on conservative approach. Suggested streamlined fast-track single-stop approach should expedite the workflow and improve clinical outcomes. Given the broadly available interventional cardiology expertise cardiologist should play an active and sensible role in the development of new interventional concepts of care of patients with acute ischaemic stroke.
