Bronchial Thermoplasty: A Nonpharmacologic Therapy for Severe Asthma. Bronchial thermoplasty is an innovative treatment for patients with severe asthma and chronic airflow obstruction with an established long-term efficacy and safety profile. This review focuses on the role of bronchial thermoplasty in severe asthma, its mechanism of action, appropriate patient selection, current evidence, and recent developments of this therapy.
