Obesity, blood rheology and angiogenesis. Adipose tissue is actively involved in angiogenesis through secretion of biologically active substances. This topic has been the subject of many recent publications concerning the pathophysiology and treatment of obesity. We discuss the relationship between obesity, angiogenesis and blood rheology.
