Novel approach to engage left main coronary artery in aneurysmally dilated aortic root. Aneurysmally dilated aortic route pose a considerable challenge in invasive coronary angiography (CAG) using routine workhorse catheters. Often one has to resort to either CT CAG which is not possible in all cases or use other techniques described in literature which may be technically challenging. We report a novel technique using multipurpose-1 (MPA-1) catheter. By applying gentle pressure, MPA-1 can be shaped to conform to aortic root anatomy by forming a primary and secondary loop. This makes engagement of left main ostium easy and atraumatic.
