Urinary Tract Infection. Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are common in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This article provides an evidence-based, clinically relevant overview of management of UTIs, including screening, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. Conditions covered include acute cystitis (both uncomplicated and complicated), catheter-associated UTI, and asymptomatic bacteriuria in both women and men.
