Recommendations from the Baldrige Foundation, Institute for Healthcare Improvement, and The Joint Commission provide guidance on the principles for successful diffusion. Perioperative leaders are encouraged to applying these principles to high priority areas such as handovers, enhanced recovery and patient blood management.
